These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of services, products, and transactions provided by Southern Luxe Detailing, LLC ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website or services, you ("the Customer" or "you") agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our services.

1. Service Scope

The Company offers a range of professional services (collectively referred to as the "Services"). We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any of these services at our sole discretion and without prior notice. All services are carried out by professionally trained and certified technicians, utilizing industry-standard techniques and high-quality materials. Additional services may be introduced periodically, with full details provided at the time of offering. Our core services include, but are not limited to:

  • Window Tinting
  • Detailing (Interior and Exterior)
  • Ceramic Coating
  • Paint Protection Film ("PPF")
  • Vinyl Wrapping
  • Scratch Repair
  • Paint Correction and Polishing

2. Payments, Deposits, & Cancellations

All services must be paid in full as outlined in the order confirmation or upon completion, unless otherwise agreed in writing. To secure your appointment or order, the Company requires a 15% deposit. A credit card is required to be put on file at the time of booking an appointment. This deposit is refundable if cancellation or rescheduling is requested at least 48 hours in advance.

Important Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations or rescheduling requests made within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment will result in the forfeiture of the deposit
  • If a customer reschedules and later cancels the appointment, the deposit will also be forfeited
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance may incur a fee equal to 50% of the total service cost

Failure to pay the deposit may lead to loss of the reserved appointment date and time. This fee helps cover the cost of preparation and potential lost business resulting from the late notice.

Refunds are not provided for completed services unless expressly agreed upon by the Company. In the event of a dispute or dissatisfaction with the service, Southern Luxe Detailing LLC is committed to resolving the issue in a fair and customer-focused manner. This may include a rework of the service or a partial credit toward future services, at the Company's discretion. If Southern Luxe Detailing LLC is unable to perform the scheduled service for any reason, the deposit will be fully refunded.

3. Pricing & Fees

Service and product prices are listed on our website or will be communicated directly by the Company. All pricing is subject to change at the Company's discretion. Additional charges may apply for special requests or modifications that fall outside the scope of the originally agreed-upon service or product.

Additional Fees:

  • Credit/debit card processing fee: 3.49% (subject to change)
  • Standard shop fee: $4.99 per service

4. Privacy & Data Protection

By using our Services, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as outlined in our Privacy Policy. We respect your privacy and will take all necessary steps to protect your personal information.

5. Customer Responsibilities

By using our services, you agree to provide accurate and complete information. It is your responsibility to ensure that your vehicle or property is accessible and free of personal belongings or obstructions at the time of service. To ensure the best possible outcome and uphold the validity of warranties, customers agree to the following responsibilities:

Vehicle Condition

Customers must ensure their vehicle is in appropriate condition for the requested service. This includes, but is not limited to, addressing any major defects—such as rust, broken components, or structural issues—that may affect service quality. Vehicles should be reasonably clean and emptied of personal belongings prior to dropping off.

Important Notes:

  • Vehicles containing excessive personal items may be subject to an additional fee of $75
  • Southern Luxe Detailing LLC is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal items left in the vehicle
  • All vehicles are assessed before service, and any pre-existing damage is documented
  • We are not liable for pre-existing damage, and results may vary depending on the vehicle's age and condition

Customers are required to provide a complete and accurate description of the vehicle's condition prior to their appointment. If, upon inspection, the actual condition differs significantly from what was described, Southern Luxe Detailing LLC reserves the right to refuse service or adjust the quoted price accordingly.

Proper Maintenance

For services that include warranties—such as window tinting, ceramic coatings, or paint protection film—customers must follow all manufacturer-recommended maintenance guidelines. Failure to follow these guidelines (e.g., hand-washing ceramic-coated vehicles every 2–3 months) may void the warranty.

Window Tint Care Instructions:

  • A drying and curing period is required
  • Haze, bubbles, or water pockets may appear temporarily and should dissipate over time
  • Do not roll down windows for at least three days after installation
  • Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials when cleaning tinted surfaces

6. Legal Compliance

You are responsible for ensuring that any products or services you request from the Company comply with applicable laws and regulations, including those related to local ordinances or restrictions on window tinting. The Company is not liable for any legal issues resulting from violations of local laws or any other legal requirements related to the vehicle.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company, its employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the services or products provided by the Company.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and any disputes arising from them will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

9. Changes to Terms

The Company reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the effective date will be updated accordingly. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes.

10. Force Majeure

The Company will not be held responsible for any delay or failure in performance resulting from causes beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, strikes, or supply chain disruptions.

11. Liability for Damage

Southern Luxe Detailing LLC takes all reasonable precautions to protect your vehicle during service. However, by engaging our services, customers acknowledge and agree to the following limitations of liability:

Window Tinting

Southern Luxe Detailing LLC is not responsible for any damage to the vehicle's interior or exterior—this includes, but is not limited to, glass, upholstery, electronics, or other components—during the window tinting process. We are also not liable for any scratches to the glass that may occur during installation. A reasonable amount of dirt, dust, or debris may be present beneath the film and is considered acceptable due to environmental conditions and the existing state of the glass.

Special Note for Electric Vehicle Owners: Certain electric vehicles—such as Tesla models—may have design characteristics that make internal wiring or electronic components more susceptible to water intrusion. While Southern Luxe Detailing LLC follows standard industry procedures for all services, we are not liable for any electrical or wiring damage that may result from these inherent design vulnerabilities during or after service.

Ceramic Coatings

We are not liable for imperfections or discoloration that may develop over time due to environmental exposure (e.g., harsh weather, chemicals) or improper maintenance. Proper aftercare is essential to preserve the integrity of the coating.

Paint Protection Film (PPF)

Southern Luxe Detailing LLC is not responsible for damage to the vehicle's paint during PPF installation or removal, especially on repainted surfaces where the paint may not be fully cured. PPF may lift uncured or weakened paint during removal.

Vinyl Wrapping

We are not liable for any paint or surface damage resulting from the installation or removal of vinyl wraps. Customers should be aware that pre-existing paint conditions may affect outcomes.

Scratch Repair

We do not guarantee complete or permanent correction of scratches. We are not responsible for issues such as the reappearance of scratches, slight mismatches in paint color, or defects like clear coat burn-through that can occur during the repair process.

Paint Correction and Polishing

This service does not guarantee a 100% flawless finish. Southern Luxe Detailing LLC is not responsible for any damage to the clear coat caused by the correction process, particularly when pre-existing paint conditions are compromised. Customers should refer to their approved job quote for detailed expectations regarding the level of correction.

12. South Carolina Tinting Laws

All window tinting services provided by Southern Luxe Detailing LLC are performed in accordance with South Carolina state laws. However, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure their chosen tint meets all applicable legal requirements. Southern Luxe Detailing LLC is not liable for any legal consequences, including citations or fines, resulting from tint levels that fall below state-mandated limits.

Legal Tinting Limits:

  • Driver Window: Minimum 27% visible light transmission (VLT)
  • Front Passenger Window: Minimum 27% VLT
  • Side Rear Passenger Windows: Minimum 27% VLT
  • Rear-most ("rearview") Window: Minimum 20% VLT; when combined with factory-dyed glass, total must equal at least 27% VLT
  • Windshield: Full windshield tinting is not permitted. Only a non-reflective tint strip above the AS-1 line is allowed

All window tints must be nonreflective and may not be red, yellow, or amber in color. Any tint installed below the legal threshold is intended for off-road use only. Legal tinting limits do not apply to vehicles with a valid medical exemption or K9 law enforcement vehicles.

13. Warranty Information

Window Tinting

Southern Luxe Detailing LLC offers a lifetime warranty on LuxeGuard Pro-HD window film for as long as the original customer owns the vehicle. This warranty is non-transferable and covers issues such as peeling, bubbling, fading, delaminating, and cracking.

Warranty does not cover:

  • Scratches caused by pets, children, or foreign objects
  • Damage resulting from improper cleaning or maintenance
  • Any issues not directly related to the tint film itself

3M™ Automotive Window Films are backed by a limited lifetime warranty provided by the manufacturer.

Ceramic Coating

Warranties for ceramic coatings are provided by the manufacturer, Owners Pride, and are available in the following options:

  • 3-year warranty
  • 5-year warranty
  • 7-year warranty
  • 9-year warranty

Each warranty level includes specific terms, coverage, and maintenance requirements. At minimum, it is recommended that vehicles be hand washed every 2–3 months.

Paint Protection Film (PPF)

Southern Luxe Detailing LLC provides a 10-year warranty on PPF installations covering defects in the film including peeling, cracking, yellowing due to UV exposure, delaminating, and bubbling.

Warranty does not cover:

  • Contamination from environmental factors (e.g., dirt, debris)
  • Damage due to improper care or maintenance

Vinyl Wrapping

Vinyl wrap warranties are provided by the manufacturer of the wrap film. In addition, Southern Luxe Detailing LLC offers a 6-month warranty covering craftsmanship and installation defects, such as bubbling or peeling.

Warranty does not apply to:

  • Environmental exposure (e.g., weather, chemicals)
  • Improper care or maintenance by the customer

Paint Correction / Scratch Repair

No warranties are offered for scratch repair or paint correction beyond the completion of the service. Southern Luxe Detailing LLC is not responsible for reappearance of scratches, paint color mismatches, or defects such as clear coat burns.
