We started Southern Luxe because Charleston deserved a studio that operates at the level of the cars that live here. Not a dealership sub-let. Not a generic wash bay. A dedicated, climate-controlled studio where every panel gets the attention it would in a manufacturer’s prototype shop.
The work is technical — paint-depth gauges, swirl-finder lights, plotter-cut kits, VIN-filed warranties — but the intent is simple. You drive up in a vehicle you care about. We treat it like we care about it too.
Today we operate as an Owners Pride Pro authorized ceramic installer, a LuxeGuard Factory Studio for tint and PPF, and a 3M-approved tint shop. The result is a menu where you can combine the best ceramic tint on the market with the longest-warrantied paint coatings in the industry and the most advanced self-healing urethane film available — and have one team do all of it, in one climate-controlled bay, under one roof.

3M Ceramic IR tint for customers who want a trusted legacy brand backed by a lifetime warranty and the biggest name in the industry. Installed to 3M's certified standard — the same benchmark their authorized network runs on nationwide.
The bay is the product.
Dust is the one variable that can ruin a ceramic bond or a PPF install. Our studio is fully climate-controlled, filtered, and stocked with the tools that actually matter — not cones and compressor hoses.
Climate-controlled bay
Regulated temperature and humidity through every install. Coatings get consistent cure windows instead of fighting a 15-degree swing in the room — the difference between a coating that holds its warranty and one that fails at year two.
Swirl-finder inspection
We correct and finish under high-Kelvin LED columns — the same cool-white inspection lighting a concours judge uses to find what's left in the clear coat. What reads clean under these lights reads clean in daylight.
Plotter-cut precision
Every clear PPF kit is pre-cut from vehicle-specific templates before film touches paint. Color changes are bulk-cut on the vehicle itself for full edge wrap with zero original paint showing at seams.

Quality over quantity
We deliberately cap how many vehicles enter the bay each week. Great work takes time, focus, and the right conditions — not an assembly line.
Walk-through, every vehicle
Every drop-off starts with a hands-on inspection — we document existing damage and paint defects before a single panel gets touched. You see the car at intake and again at pickup. Routine work doesn't need a photo reel, but if anything unusual surfaces mid-install we photograph it and flag you before we move on.

3M, Owners Pride Pro, and LuxeGuard — the top-tier film and tint line we install exclusively because it outperforms the name brands on the specs that matter. If we wouldn't install it on our own car, it's not on the menu.
After-care, forever
Call, text, or stop in any time — we're always here to answer aftercare questions, walk you through wash technique, and recommend the right chemicals and products for your coating, film, or tint. If something looks off, bring it by. The warranty is on paper — the relationship isn't.
A new studio. Same obsessive craft.
We’re moving to a larger, purpose-built studio at 977 Royle Rd, Suite F, Ladson, SC in early May 2026. The new space gives us more bay depth, more lighting, and a dedicated PPF install room — all designed around the install standard we’ve been running at the Summerville studio.
Until the doors open, every drop-off happens at our current Summerville location: 398 E 5th North St Suite F, Summerville, SC 29483. Same hands, same warranties, same standard — just a larger bay on its way.
