- Usually. The ring is etching — the sap chemically bit into the clear coat before it was removed, leaving a shallow depression that catches light. Correction levels the surrounding clear coat down to meet it. - Are water spots really permanent?
- The mineral deposit is not, but the etching underneath it can be. A fresh spot wipes off.
