Paint Correction for Mount Pleasant, SC Drivers
Mount Pleasant garages hold premium metal that deserves more than a dealer buff. Salt off the Ravenel, oceanfront UV at Sullivan's and IOP, and wash swirls dull even the best factory paint. Paint correction resets it to a glass-flat, show-car finish — and it's the required prep before any coating or PPF.
What we see specifically on Mount Pleasant vehicles.
Old Village, I'On, and Carolina Park owners run Porsches, AMGs, RS, M, and Teslas that left the factory optioned to the hilt — and uncoated clear coat on those cars still hazes from salt blow and oceanfront UV on the same timeline as anything else. Dark and metallic paint shows every swirl under Lowcountry sun. We measure paint depth on every panel before compounding (critical on dealer-corrected or repainted luxury cars), refine under swirl-finder lights, and provide panel-by-panel paint-depth logs on the 3-Stage so you know exactly what we did.
The right tier for the way Mount Pleasant drivers actually drive.
Premium daily drivers held a few years do well on a 2-Stage — 80–85% defect removal and the gloss these cars left the factory with. Flagship, show, and dark-metallic vehicles (911, AMG GT, M5 CS, Plaid) get the 3-Stage Show Car for 95%+ correction and a concours finish. New deliveries getting coated need at least a light 1-Stage first; for our 9-year ceramic we require a 2-Stage.

Recent work from across our service area.
“They did an amazing job with the tint removal/ replacement on my 2012 mustang. I highly recommend them for tint. I also highly recommend them for interior cleaning too. I had the interior of a 2005 town and country clean. It was used as a truck for the last 10-15 years and they got all of the stains out! I’m super happy with the result. They are super communicative if there is an issue and if the task will be longer than promised. 10/10 I will return with my other vehicles.”
“I had a very wonderful experience with this company very family-oriented love the atmosphere plus his little doggy called Owen quite sweet recommend it over and over again did a beautiful job on my vehicle thank you goodbye”
“Great job tinting windows on my wife’s Audi and super friendly people. Highly recommend!”
What Mount Pleasant drivers ask before they book.
- Can you correct a dark-metallic or solid-black car without leaving holograms?
- Yes — that's exactly what the 2- and 3-Stage processes are built for. We finish with a dedicated refinement pass under swirl-finder lights specifically to erase the compound haze and holograms rotary-only shops leave behind. On solid black and dark metallics we almost always recommend the 3-Stage so the finish reads deep and mirror-flat, not micro-marred.
- Do I need correction before PPF or ceramic on my new Porsche or Tesla?
- Almost always at least a light enhancement. Even day-one luxury paint carries factory sanding marks, transit film, and dealer-wash swirls — and PPF or ceramic locks whatever's underneath in place. For Full-Body PPF or our flagship 9-year ceramic we require a 2-Stage, so you're protecting a corrected surface rather than sealing in defects for a decade.
- How much does paint correction cost?
- Pricing depends on the tier and the paint's current condition — a new car with light swirls needs a fraction of the work an oxidized daily driver does. We quote every correction after inspecting the paint in person or from your photos, so the number you get is the number you pay. Request a quote and we'll have an estimate back the same day.
- How long does paint correction take?
- Plan on a day for an enhancement, two days for a 2-stage, and three days for a 3-stage Show Car correction. Timeline scales with vehicle size, paint condition, and how deep the defects run. We never rush a correction — the whole point is the finish you see at the end, and that doesn't happen on a 4-hour schedule. Drop off Monday morning, we'll text when it's ready.
- Do I need paint correction on a new car?
- Usually yes — at least a light enhancement. Factory paint leaves the plant with sanding marks, dealer-wash swirls, transit wax, and often rail dust or industrial fallout baked in. That stuff is what gets locked under a coating or PPF if you skip correction. A 1-stage enhancement on a new car removes 60%+ of those factory-level defects and gives you the proper starting surface for multi-year protection. If you're coating the car, it's not optional.
