- What is actually legal in South Carolina?
- 27 percent VLT minimum on front sides, back sides, and rear glass, with a five-inch strip allowed on the windshield. It is state law, so it is the same in Hanahan as anywhere else — there is no separate city rule. We install to the legal limit by default and will tell you plainly if what you are asking for would not pass.
- Will darker film keep the car cooler?
- Not meaningfully, and this is the most common misunderstanding we correct. Darkness controls visible light; heat is infrared, and rejecting it is a function of the film's construction rather than its shade. A quality ceramic film at the legal 27 percent will outperform a cheap limo-dark film comfortably, while also being legal.
- Does ceramic film interfere with signal?
- No. Ceramic construction is non-metallic, so it does not interfere with GPS, cell signal, keyless entry, tyre pressure sensors, or radio. Older metallic films did, which is where the concern comes from. Everything we install is signal-friendly, which matters more now than it did when that reputation formed.
- How long does it take, and can I wait?
- Most full-car installs run two to three hours.
