Ceramic Window Tint for Nexton, SC Drivers
Nexton is our backyard — under ten minutes from Midtown, Brighton Park, and Del Webb. We tint a lot of new-delivery vehicles direct from the Brown dealership cluster on 17A, often before the car has been parked outside for more than a day.
What we see specifically on Nexton vehicles.
Nexton's growth means new construction dust everywhere, fresh-paved roads kicking up tar, and a ton of brand-new luxury and premium deliveries from the 17A dealer row. New cars get the most heat damage in their first 12 months because nobody's protected the interior yet — UV cracks vinyl on door panels and dashboards faster than people expect. Premium ceramic tint is the single most cost-effective new-car protection upgrade we can sell, and at the Nexton price point it's almost always the right call.
The right tier for the way Nexton drivers actually drive.
On new-delivery premium SUVs and luxury sedans (Genesis, Lexus, BMW, Audi, Volvo, Tesla), LuxeGuard Pro HD is the right answer — top-tier IR, glass-clear optics, lifetime warranty starting on day one. On family three-rows and daily-driver SUVs from Nexton's Mazda and Hyundai-heavy fleet, LuxeGuard Nano is the value sweet spot.

What Nexton drivers ask before they book.
- I just took delivery from the Nexton Brown dealership — can you tint this week?
- Yes. We coordinate constantly with the 17A dealer row and can usually slot a new-delivery install within 48–72 hours. Most Nexton owners drop off in the morning and pick up the same afternoon — under 10 minutes from any Nexton neighborhood.
- Should I get tint before or after the dealer-installed sealer wears off?
- Tint and dealer sealer don't interact — the sealer is on paint, the tint is on glass. We tint hundreds of cars right after delivery regardless of what the dealer applied. Separately, dealer-applied sealer is generally not what we'd recommend for paint protection (a real ceramic coating outlasts it 10:1), but that's a different conversation.
- Which tier should I pick?
- Honest answer: if the budget works, go Pro HD. It's only $50 more than our mid-tier Nano Ceramic but jumps you from 90–92% to 97–99% IR rejection with noticeably higher optical clarity — you'll feel the difference the first time you drive home in the Charleston sun. Nano is our sweet spot if budget matters and you still want serious heat rejection. 3M Ceramic IR is a solid entry if you just need a good ceramic tint from a trusted name at a lower price.
- What tint is legal in South Carolina?
- SC tint law depends on your vehicle. If your car is a sedan or coupe that came with clear factory glass on every window, you're limited to 27% VLT or lighter on all side windows AND the back glass (so 27%, 35%, 50%, and 70% are the legal options). If your vehicle came with factory-tinted rear glass from the manufacturer — most SUVs and trucks — the rear windows can be any shade you want, and only the front two side windows are capped at 27% VLT. Windshield tint is restricted to above the AS-1 line on every vehicle. We'll install any shade you choose — but we'll also walk you through what's legal on your specific vehicle before you commit.
- Is there a medical exemption for darker tint in South Carolina?
- Yes. South Carolina allows a medical exemption for documented conditions — lupus, severe photosensitivity, skin cancer history, melanoma, and other physician-verified diagnoses. Your doctor completes the exemption form, you carry a signed exemption card with the vehicle, and you can legally run any shade on the side and rear glass. We've installed plenty of exemption-level tint for local customers and can walk you through the paperwork.
